Ryan Bizzarro running for Treasurer

Ryan Bizzarro is running for Treasurer to protect important programs, protect our pensions, and to protect Pennsylvanians from extremists.

Ryan grew-up among a large family of fighters in Erie. Inside the ring they fought with their fists — outside of it they fought for each other. In 2013, Ryan ran in the majority Republican 3rd Legislative District and won, where he has handily won reelection ever since. His legislative peers elected him into Democratic leadership and today he serves as the Democratic Policy Chairman. In that role, Ryan has been recognized and widely credited for his hard work and statewide leadership after visiting Pennsylvania’s 67 counties to make sure all voices are heard in Harrisburg. As a caucus leader, Ryan played a critical role in building a Democratic Majority in the House of Representatives.

Today, Ryan Bizzarro is running for Treasurer as the only candidate with both direct state budget and legislative experience. Pledging to be the “People’s Treasurer” Ryan’s central platform is to bring the Treasurer’s office closer to all Pennsylvanians by opening regional offices. He’ll make the office more relevant to their lives by offering new and enhanced programs to increase financial literacy, and to help people to save for college or to learn a new trade. He also intends to more efficiently and effectively return billions of dollars in unclaimed property.

Ryan understands that there is more at stake than ever with this treasurer’s election. He is running against incumbent Republican treasurer Stacy Garrity, Pennsylvania’s highest-ranking extremist office holder who worked to overturn Pennsylvania’s election results and who supports criminalizing a woman’s right to choose.

Ryan Bizzarro will defend Pennsylvania from the spread of extremism, protect women’s rights in Pennsylvania, while restoring integrity to the Treasurer’s office.
