Jack Stollsteimer is running for Attorney General

Jack’s journey is deeply rooted in his family’s pursuit of the American Dream, shaped by his father’s service in the U.S. Army and his mother’s resilience after surviving a Nazi slave labor camp. Inspired by their struggles and triumphs, Jack worked his way through college and law school. His career in law began as an intern with the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office, where he later served as an Assistant District Attorney, prosecuting criminals.

In 2001, he joined the U.S. Department of Justice, earning a 100% conviction rate as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, focusing on gun violence reduction. Jack’s commitment extended to addressing issues in education, as Governor Rendell appointed him as Pennsylvania’s Safe Schools Advocate.

His advocacy for reporting violent crimes in the Philadelphia School District led to policy changes, contributing to a Pulitzer Prize-winning series on school violence in 2012.

In 2017, he became Deputy State Treasurer, working on initiatives like the PA ABLE savings program for people with disabilities and the Keystone Scholars grant program, providing educational opportunities for every child born or adopted in Pennsylvania.

Jack eliminated the only private prisons in PA, opting for public management and reducing the prison population by a third. He pioneered an environmental crimes unit, protecting our planet for future generations. In one of America’s most violent cities, Jack reduced gun incidents in Chester by 65% and gun homicides by 68%. Jack stood up for women’s rights, challenging Dobbs when it was before the court and vowing with only one other DA in PA never to prosecute women for exercising their constitutional right to abortion. He’s the only DA who prosecuted wage theft, taking on unscrupulous contractors and led efforts to decriminalize marijuana while taking legal action against opioid manufacturers.

Jack’s diverse experience, from prosecuting criminals to advocating for safer schools and innovative financial programs, positions him as a candidate for Attorney General with a proven track record of dedication to justice and the well-being of Pennsylvanians. Jack is the best candidate in this race when it comes to making a real impact, and if you don’t know that by now, you don’t know Jack.”
