Austin Davis for PA Lt. Governor
Lt. Governor Austin Davis is running for re-election in 2026, continuing a tenure defined by public safety investments and a focus on working-class communities.
Davis made history as Pennsylvania’s first Black lieutenant governor and, when he took office, the youngest lieutenant governor in the country. In his role, he presides over the Pennsylvania Senate and chairs the Board of Pardons. He also leads the Local Government Advisory Committee, the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Council, and the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD). In addition, he chairs the Pennsylvania Advisory Council for Inclusive Procurement and serves as co-chair of the Pennsylvania Early Learning Investment Commission.
As lieutenant governor, Davis has prioritized violence prevention and community safety. His work has helped secure major investments in statewide programs, including Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) grants, 911 funding, support for afterschool programs, protection for places of worship and community centers, and hospital-based violence intervention efforts.
Davis previously served as state representative for the 35th District, centered on McKeesport and the Mon Valley. He also served as vice chair of the Allegheny County Democratic Committee and has been active in civic and nonprofit leadership across the Pittsburgh region, with a focus on youth opportunity, education, and community health.
He also serves as chair of the Democratic Lieutenant Governors Association, helping coordinate and elevate Democratic leadership nationwide.
